Meet your therapist

Julie Tarlow

MS, OTR/L, PCES, CCTS-I

Hi, I’m Julie

I graduated from Towson University with a Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2014 and spent several years working in a hospital system, which left me craving a healthcare experience that looks different from our current model.

After having my own children, I received pelvic floor therapy from various providers within and outside of the traditional medical system and found one who made me fall in love with the specialty.

It was at this time that I began my journey into pelvic health and completed extensive coursework to provide up to date, evidence based, individualized, and holistic therapy services to my clients.  While this training has provided me with the tools and knowledge to help others, it has been interactions with real life women and mothers that truly ignites my passion to provide education, empowerment, and therapy in the RIGHT way.  I had a dream of blending the principles of traditional Western medicine and alternative Eastern medicine to provide holistic women’s pelvic health with a service delivery model that makes it realistic to access.

And thus, Core Confidence was born!  Acknowledging the mama behind the baby is what brings me joy.  I am so excited to be here to serve you.

Outside of work, I am a wife and mom to two busy toddlers and an attention starved pit bull.  My husband and I recently moved our family back to our hometown in Westminster.  Aside from spending time with my family, I love traveling, ethnic food, exercise, health science podcasts, supporting local sports teams, and being with friends.

Education

It takes a village of family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, and professionals. True to Core Confidence’s holistic belief that pelvic wellness cannot be achieved in a silo, I have a network of like-minded women’s health professionals. I lean on these professionals for my own education and to provide you additional resources to make sure you are reaching your goals.

Please reach out for recommendations for professionals including, but not limited to: naturopathic doctors, mental health practitioners, acupuncturists, chiropractors, doulas, and fitness professionals. We all deserve to be surrounded by a team of supporters.
