Hi, I’m Julie

I have been an Occupational Therapist since 2015.  My personal and professional journey has left me craving a new kind of health care experience for women. While pregnant, I got to experience the amazing effects of integrative medicine practices while flipping my breech baby, preparing me for birth, and making me feel my best.  After giving birth to both of my children, I received pelvic floor therapy from various providers within, and outside, of the medical system. I experienced first-hand the differences between these models. I was hooked.

Ongoing clinical experience and continuing pelvic health education provides me with the knowledge and tools necessary to help you. But it is the daily interactions I have with friends, family, and coworkers that have ignited my passion for empowering real life women and mothers.  I had a dream of blending the principles of traditional Western medicine and alternative Eastern medicine to provide holistic women’s pelvic health with a service delivery model that makes it realistic to access.

And thus, Core Confidence was born! Acknowledging the mama behind the baby is what brings me joy. I am so excited to be here to serve you.

Outside of work, I am a wife and mom to two busy toddlers and an attention starved pit bull. My husband and I recently moved our family back to our hometown in Westminster. Aside from spending time with my family, I love traveling, ethnic food, exercise, health science podcasts, supporting local sports teams, and being with friends.

Values & Philosophies

  • ‘The whole you’ is the whole reason I started this business. Pelvic health & wellness requires just that… for your entire mind and body to be well to see results. I approach healing by looking at habits, diet, head to toe body factors, environment, and mental health.

  • Trauma can reshape the brain and the body.  Treatments must make sense for each person in the season of life they’re in. Our nervous system needs to be acknowledged, respected, and often retrained to properly interpret and respond to signals from the body and environment. I hold a trauma certification so you can feel safe and confident that your whole mind and body is considered.

  • You can expect the utmost respect, privacy, transparency, and genuine care because I’ve been in your shoes. I take pride in personally seeking out practitioners who provide me the same quality of care.

  • Occupational therapists are experts in “ADLs and IADLs” - think childcare, housework, leisure, work, bowel and bladder health, and sexual function. We are also trained in both the mind and body. You can expect a combination of creative functional, physical, and mental health interventions to reach your goals.

It takes a village of family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, and professionals. True to Core Confidence’s holistic belief that pelvic wellness cannot be achieved in a silo, I have a network of like-minded women’s health professionals. I lean on these professionals for my own education and to provide you additional resources to make sure you are reaching your goals.

Please reach out for recommendations for professionals including, but not limited to: naturopathic doctors, mental health practitioners, acupuncturists, chiropractors, doulas, and fitness professionals. We all deserve to be surrounded by a team of supporters.
